  • It will open the VS Code setup wizard. Click the next button to continue.
  • Read the License agreement and check “I accept the agreement”, then click the next button to continue.
  • Choose installation location and click Next
  • Then select start menu folder.
  • Click the next button to continue.
  • It’s time to select additional tasks.

Create a desktop icon – It will create a desktop shortcut.

Add “open with Code” action to the Windows Explorer file context menu. – It will add Open with Code action to Windows Explorer file context menu.

Register Code as an editor for supported file types.

Add to PATH (available after restart) – It will add VSCode to the Path (If it added to the PATH, you can type “code [folder name]” in the Command Prompt to open VSCode.
